It's Magic!
I've been dabbling with magic loop while working on the socks I'm designing using Stitchin Pretty's yarn. I always liked dpns, but my feelings toward the magic loop are serious. The lack of stitches falling of the end of the needles, the ability to try on the sock without shifting it to scrap yarn, and, when we're both ready, two socks at once. Be still my beating heart. If magic loop was man and not just a 36" size 1 circ, we'd be in Vegas by now, getting hitched by Elvis. This love is true.
I like the yarn quite a bit too. It's a solid with confetti flakes, which I like. Down with self-striping! It's held up well to repeated frogging and re-knits and has nice stitch definition. It's a little scratchy, but I think that will wash out.
No post should be without a pic, so here's my niece, Chloe. I think she found out she cast-on the wrong number of stitches. Poor thing.
