O Socks!

O! Socks
Gauge – 1 inch = 6.3 stitches by 9.5 rows Size – Women’s medium
Supplies
- 250 yard (about 1.3 skeins – You might be able to get a pair out of 1 skein by making the leg shorter) Plymouth Yarn Happy Feet (I used color 2)
- Size 3 dpns or size needed to get gauge
- Size 2 dpns (or one size smaller than gauge needles)
- Darning needle
Notes
- pm – Place marker
- yo – yarn over
- sl 1, k2, psso – Slip one stitch onto the right needle, knit two stitches, pass the slipped stitch over the two knitted stitches
- ssk – left leaning decrease. Slip the first stitch as if to knit, slip the second stitch as if to knit, then slide the left-hand needle into the front part of both stitches and knit them together.
- k2tog – right leaning decrease. Knit two stitches together as if they were a single stitch.
- st st – stockinette stitch – knit all rows when in the round; knit on right side, purl on wrong side on straight needles
- Repeat anything in [brackets] to complete the round
Instructions
- Cast on 48 using the smaller needles. Join and pm. Work 1 inch of 1×1 ribbing.
- Switch to larger needle size. For the first round, [k1 p2 k3 p2]
- Start cable pattern
- [k1, p2, sl 1, k2, psso, p2]
- [k1 p2 k1 yo k1 p2]
- Two rounds – [k1 p2 k3 p2]
- 15 repeats of cable pattern.
- Remove marker. k1 pm

Heel
- k23
- Turn and p23 the same stitches
- Continue to work 23 sts in st st for 2.5″
Turn Heel
- Slip 1 k11 ssk k1 turn.
- Slip 1, p3, p2tog, p1, turn.
- Slip 1, k to within one stitch of gap, ssk to close gap, k1, turn.
- Slip 1, p to within one stitch of gap, p2tog, p1, turn.
- Repeat last two rows until all stitches have been worked. 14 heel stitches remain.

Gusset
- Pick up and knit 1 st in every other stitch along edge of heel flap (13 total)
- Place marker to indicate start of cable pattern.
- Pickup stitch purl-wise between base of heel flap and instep stitches.
- Work cable pattern across top of foot.
- Pickup stitch purl-wise between base of heel flap and instep stitches.
- Place marker to indicate end of Cable Pattern.
- Pick up and knit 13 stitches along the heel flap.
- Knit to marker.
Decrease round: Slip marker, Work cable pattern to next marker, slip marker, K2tog, K to two sts before marker. ssk. Normal round: Work in established pattern. Alternate until 22 sts remain in st st, 48 total.
Foot
- Work in established pattern until 2 inches remain for the toe.
- Knit the next row.
Toe
- Decrease round: K1, ssk, k1, k to 3 stitches before next marker, k1, slip marker, k1, k2tog, knit to 3 stitches before next marker, ssk, k1, slip marker, k1, k2tog, knit to end of round.
- Normal round: knit.
- Alternate decrease and normal rounds until toe measures 2 inches.
- Close the toe with kitchener stitch.
- Weave in ends.

Looks good but I forgot how to rib? I have been crocheting and not knitted socks for awhile

1×1 ribbing is alternating knit one, purl one.
